Vet One Dextrose 50% Injection, USP, 500 mL

Vet One Dextrose 50% Injection is a sterile, preservative-free solution designed to aid in the treatment of uncomplicated ketosis in cattle. Each 100 mL contains 50 grams of dextrose monohydrate, with a caloric value of 1700 calories per liter. The solution is prepared with water for injection and may include hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment (hypertonic pH range of 3.56.5 per liter). Administer intravenously only, ensuring slow administration and strict aseptic conditions. Warm solution to body temperature before use. Dosage varies from 100 to 500 mL based on size and condition, with possible repeat treatments every 8 to 10 hours or on successive days.

DIRECTIONS: For intravenous use only. Warm solution to body temperature. Administer slowly under strict aseptic conditions. Treatment may be repeated as necessary.
