Safe-Guard Fenbendazole Paste 10% is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic formulated for effective treatment and control of lungworms, stomach worms, and intestinal worms in beef and dairy cattle. This convenient oral paste delivers reliable parasite control for herd applications and large animals one 290 g syringe treats up to 12,000 lb of body weight.
Features:

Indications:
For the treatment and control of:
- Lungworms: adult Dictyocaulus viviparus
- Stomach worms: adult brown stomach worms (Ostertagia ostertagi), adult and 4th stage barberpole worms (Haemonchus spp.), and small stomach worms (Trichostrongylus axei)
- Intestinal worms (adult and 4th stage larvae): hookworms (Bunostomum phlebotomum), thread-necked intestinal worms (Nematodirus helvetianus), small intestinal worms (Cooperia spp.), bankrupt worms (Trichostrongylus colubriformis), and nodular worms (Oesophagostomum radiatum)
Dosage & Administration:
Administer orally at 2.3 mg fenbendazole per lb of body weight (approx. 5 mg/kg), which equates to 5 g Safe-Guard Paste per 220 lb (100 kg). Each full depression of the Safe-Guard dispensing gun delivers ~5 g of paste. Use only with Safe-Guard dosing equipment (applicator gun #I6S5 recommended).
Important: Do not underdose. Determine accurate body weight and ensure each animal receives the full labeled dose. Underdosing may reduce effectiveness and encourage parasite resistance. Retreatment may be necessary after 46 weeks if animals remain exposed to parasites.
Withdrawal Times & Use Restrictions:
- Milk taken during treatment and for 96 hours after the last treatment must not be used for human consumption.
- Cattle must not be slaughtered for human consumption within 8 days following the last treatment.
- Not for use in beef calves < 2 months of age, dairy calves, or veal calves. A withdrawal period has not been established for pre-ruminating calves.
Precautions & Warnings:
- For animal use only. Not for use in humans. Keep out of reach of children.
- Parasite resistance may develop to any dewormer. Use as part of an integrated parasite management program that includes diagnostic testing (e.g., fecal egg counts) and appropriate rotational strategies.
- Follow label directions and consult your veterinarian for diagnosis, treatment guidance, and herd-specific parasite control plans.
- When used concomitantly with other products (e.g., trichlorfon for bots), follow each manufacturers label directions and cautions.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place. Protect from freezing. Keep syringe capped when not in use and out of reach of children and non-target animals.
