Vetmedin-CA1 is indicated for the delay onset of congestive heart failure in dogs with stage B2 preclinical myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD). This medication is for dogs in pre-clinical stage B2 (asymptomatic MMVD with a moderate or loud mitral murmur due to mitral regurgitation and evidence of increased heart size) to delay the onset of clinical signs of heart failure.
