All Zignature recipes are based on a meat-first philosophy because dogs are carnivores and require high-quality animal protein to thrive. The first listed ingredient in any pet food is vitally important because theres more of that ingredient than any other. Not only is meat the first ingredient in all our recipes, but we also include meat or fish meal as the second ingredient. Compare this to many well-known pet foods that use high-starch carbohydrate fillers as their first or second ingredient, and youll quickly see why Zignature offers your pet the correct nutrition for enhanced vitality.

How to Feed

When switching your dogs diet, we recommend that it should be done gradually over 5-7 days, increasing the amount each day with the present diet as sudden change in diet may result in digestive disturbances.

Zignature Puppy Formula for dogs is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for growth, including growth of large size dogs (70 lbs. or more as an adult).

Feeding Trials

At Pets Global we are committed to completing comprehensive AAFCO feeding studies with all of our diets. As you can imagine this is a giant undertaking and to gain the most of the studies we are using a system AAFCO outlines as product families. This process allows for products within the same brand to be included in a group with a diet that has undergone and successfully completed an AAFCO feeding study. To be included in a product family they must be nutritionally similar and meet key AAFCO nutrient requirements to the diet that was tested. AAFCO suggests that testing one diet in a product family allows for all the nutritionally similar diets to be considered similar to the tested for nutritional adequacy. At Pets Global we push ourselves past the minimum requirements and have started with the AAFCO product families but will continue to test each individual diet until we have complete feeding studies on all our formulas.
