PG 600, 5 Dose

PG 600 is a reproductive aid designed to improve reproductive efficiency and aid in synchronizing birthing dates for gilts and sows. This injectable product is specifically formulated to induce estrus in prepuberal gilts and weaned sows experiencing delayed return to estrus, helping to regulate breeding cycles and optimize productivity in swine herds.

Features:

• Induces fertile estrus in non-cycling gilts over 5 1/2 months of age and weighing at least 187 lbs.
• Helps return sows to estrus in early weaning programs, complementing AI programs.
• Supports synchronization of estrus for more predictable birthing dates and all-in/all-out schedules.
• Administered as a 5 cc dose subcutaneously in the neck behind the ear.
• Estrus observed approximately 37 days after injection for both gilts and sows.

Cautions:

Treatment will not induce estrus in gilts that have already reached puberty (begun to cycle). Gilts that are less than five and one-half months of age or that weigh less than 85 kg (187 lb.) may not be mature enough to continue normal estrus cycles or maintain a normal pregnancy to full term after treatment.

Treatment will not induce estrus in sows that are returning to estrus normally three to seven days after weaning. Delayed return to estrus is most prevalent after the first litter; the effectiveness of PG 600 has not been established after later litters. Delayed return to estrus often occurs during periods of adverse environmental conditions, and sows mated under such conditions may farrow smaller than normal litters.
