Rx Tylan 50 Injectable

Tylan 50 Injectable by Elanco is a trusted antibiotic solution designed for use in cattle and swine, targeting a variety of bacterial infections. Each mL contains 50 mg of tylosin activity in a formulation of 50% propylene glycol, 4% benzyl alcohol, and water for injection. Administered intramuscularly, Tylan 50 provides effective treatment while maintaining animal health and productivity.

Administration & Dosage:

• For Beef Cattle and Non-lactating Dairy Cattle:
• • Administer intramuscularly at 8 mg per pound of body weight once daily (1 mL per 6.25 lbs).
  • Continue treatment for 24 hours after symptoms subside, not exceeding 5 days.
  • Do not inject more than 10 mL per site.
  • Recommended for calves under 200 pounds.
• For Swine:
• • Administer intramuscularly at 4 mg per pound of body weight twice daily (1 mL per 12.5 lbs).
  • Continue treatment for 24 hours after symptoms subside, not exceeding 3 days.
  • Do not inject more than 5 mL per site.
  • For pigs under 6.25 lbs, use a syringe capable of delivering accurate doses (e.g., 0.1 mL).

Warnings:

• For Beef Cattle and Non-lactating Dairy Cattle: Discontinue use 21 days before slaughter. Do not use in lactating dairy cattle or calves processed for veal.
• For Swine: Discontinue use 14 days before slaughter. Overdosage in piglets can cause adverse reactions, including shock or death.
